Last week we photographed the aloft hotel grand opening party. What a blast, there were so many favorites I had from this event it was hard to narrow it down. Thanks to Amy who asked us to photograph it! Very cool place, you can stay there with you pet (who I think gets their own bed!) Or you can just go hang out at the bar and drink one of their cool drinks (that someday I hope to have once baby is here).

Last week I did a shoot again at Melrose Student Suites by the U of M. They made some great painting improvements in the common areas and some redecorating in the model apartment.

B2B Corporate Event - Seminar on Blogging

Sue Ginsberg of GrowthLynx asked me to photograph her B2B Group's event

held at SALO on Wednesday.

The B2B group is a Business to Business Networking

group through the MPLS Chamber of Commerce.

I wish I could have listened more as I photographed, the speaker Steve Borsch was very interesting. The topic was "Your Stake in the Ground: The Ins and Outs of Effective Blog Marketing". I picked up a few blog sites and tools to use. One thing I remember he said is that he doesn't mind spelling errors. :)
There were many more nice photos of many of the people in attendance, these are mostly people I know and have worked with on projects or committees.

Yesterday at 5 am (yes 5 am to all of you who know us well!) we woke up to head out to Blaine. We photographed this amazing food, labeled as American Gourmet, at Carol's Restaurant. It is located at 11888 Aberdeen St. in Blaine - just off of HWY 65. Every dish that Carol and her staff brought to us to photograph was homemade. From their sauces, to deserts, to the carmel rolls, pounded country fried steak, pickles AND french fries. The perks of photographing food, despite eating earlier than we probably are even out of bed!!!, is that we were lucky to try almost all of the breakfast dishes, after that there was no fitting any lunch or diner in. I got to try the asparagus omelet and hashbrowns (hand cut!), the oven baked oatmeal, and the french toast - gosh was there more? it certainly seems like there was...Chris had the Sausage Scrambler (biscut and gravy style), he had the country fried steak & eggs and probably more. We both had a latte, made from imported italian beans. I could go on and on about how yummy the food is! But you can see for yourself from our work. You really need to try it for yourself, I highly doubt you will be disapointed, maybe just overly full!

Copy Work for Artist Doug Johnson
We recently worked with an artist, who does mostly abstract paintings, but works with many mediums. We did some copy work for his portfolio so that when he sells his pieces he has a record of where he started and how he has evolved his work.

NE Parade
These are just a few from the many many images I shot during the festivities and parade in NE Mpls. Everyone there was very excited for this local parade. It was a blast to be involved with, but it was kinda wierd when I found myself directly infront of my sponsorship banner during the parade. "Hey that's me!"

It looks as if I may be on the public access airing of the parade...probably a few times.

Avant Decor "Las Vegas" Themed Prom at the Great Hall

Elizabeth at Avant Decor had us document a prom she draped at the Great Hall in Saint Paul back on May 12th. It was a Las Vegas Theme. I beleive it is set up for the Great March or Grand Entrance portion of the Prom Event.

Thyme to Entertain is a catering company that does some really great work. They can do your fancy in home party, grooms dinner, and senior graduation party. They are a custom caterer, so they create a menu specifically for your event using fresh and delicious ingredients. Nate is the chef and Elizabeth is the contact person, she can also drape your space and get all of the fabulous decorations.
They had a large appetizer party last Saturday and we photographed some of the platters and passed food.
I will have a little more info on the food soon.

Welcome Home Twins Event
Upon return from Vegas we started the next day with the Welcome Home Twins Lucheon. I was so confused when the alarm was going off that morning, 1st I didn't know where I was then I thought I had to go to school (?! that has been a few years!!), then I finally remembered TWINS! So great to shoot it again for the MPLS Chamber. I made rounds to the tables with the "Big Names" although I missed Cuddy's table and somehow I ran into Mike Redmann while trying to photograph Jeff Cirilo (maybe he ran into me...who knows). Chris was there too, he got the shot of Joe Nathan's table, we should have asked him if he needed some baby photos!
The Twins are on a roll and hope they keep it up, they really seem like some down to earth guys. Happy to have Baseball season started and hoping the TWINS have another great season!

Pazzobella did some flowers for us (so we did some photos) for the Bridal Spectacular on Jan 7. We were in the Depot's Winter Garden in our premier space. It looked fabulous. Here are the funky flowers.

We recently had a commercial shoot for a local company Matrix Resourcing (they make unique promotional items for companies) and they needed some apparel worn for the shoot.
Sooo....Chris got to be the model. All of those times he stood there for me while we set up and tested lights paid off!
